The morning started a bit chilly, but with the sun, came the warmth and the dogs. 102 dogs of all sorts; small, medium, and large, active and lazy, short haired and fluffy, quiet and loud, reserved and outgoing, those with a home and those SPCA dogs looking for one. We also saw some SPCA alumni which always fills our heart with joy! With them, came their humans, a total of 104 of them - ready to walk for this year's annual Mutt-Strutt, the 5th one ever held.
The Mutt-Strutt has become a staple of the SPCA events roster, a fun outing with a mega pack of dogs. We gathered at Eagle's Restaurant, who kindly sponsored the venue. There were long walks and short walks around Avis Dam, the green space aptly sponsored by Greenspace. FNB is a Hero sponsor and thus a sponsor of all SPCA events. We are proud to have them as our partner.
This event would not be what it is without our major sponsor, ENSafrica, a lawfirm who proudly stands behind animal welfare. This is the 4th year they are sponsoring the Mutt-Strutt and we could not be more appreciative. They generously donated N$53,500.00 of funds and in-kind services. See the all the yellow bandanas? Thanks to ENSafrica all SPCA pups up for adoption stand out in the crowd! We are incredibly grateful for their continuous and heartwarming support.
