The SPCA Windhoek is hosting its Annual Fundraiser ‘Animals by Night’ at the FNCC on Friday June 14. The event will be a tribute to the animals that the SPCA has cared for, now in loving forever homes, and to raise much needed funds for the animals still in our care.
‘Animals by Night’ will feature several talented Namibian artists that will put their gift towards raising funds for the homeless animals in our community. They will be painting live for a few hours in different places of the venue and as soon as they start painting – guests may start bidding on their creations. There will be a Silent Auction with anything from vouchers, prints, and artistic photographs, to hampers and outdoor items. There will be food vendors like Goethe Institute Café and Indolicious, and a cash bar available. The beautiful garden and venue of FNCC will be tastefully decorated with a creative layout of sofa lounges, bar tables, and round tables. To keep our guests entertained, there will be a Special Guest DJ, and Whilzahn will MC the evening. The evening will offer a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy with friends and fellow animal lovers.
Our organization relies almost entirely on private and corporate donations. On average, the SPCA has 260 animals at our shelter facilities, and we took in about 3,700 animals in fiscal year 2018. Events like ‘Animals by Night’ are organized to raise much needed funds for the many animals that the SPCA cares for and to be able to assist and offer a refuge to the homeless animals in our community.
