THE 2011 BANK WINDHOEK K9 WALK FOR LIFE RUNNING WITH THE PACK

This year's Bank Windhoek K9 Walk for Life, that took place on Sunday, 14 August 2011, was once again a big success. The purpose of this event was to create awareness about the importance of caring for your pet and to create awareness about the functions of the SPCA in Windhoek.

"We had a lot of positive feedback from the participants and we thank each and everybody who supported this initiative. A big thank you also goes out to the many volunteers who contributed to the success of the Bank Windhoek K9 Walk for Life. About 1 500 people attended the event and the amount of N$ 31 008.00 was raised during the walk in aid of the Windhoek SPCA," said Tatjana Rapp, SPCA volunteer and organiser of the Bank Windhoek K9 Walk for Life.

Marlize Horn (Executive Officer: Marketing and Corporate Communication Services at Bank Windhoek) said: "Bank Windhoek is honoured to be part of such a popular community event. We thank all participants for turning up in great numbers and for supporting the Bank Windhoek K9 Walk for Life. Thank you also to the volunteers of the SPCA for their selfless work to give the dogs of the SPCA a second chance in life."
